Faster than expected… Courtois returns to goalkeeping for Real Madrid in a fateful match

Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid coach, received good news from the team’s camp, which is preparing to play decisive matches in the next stage.

Real Madrid is preparing to face Cadiz, tomorrow, Saturday, in a match that could see the team crowned with the Spanish League title, three days before the fateful confrontation with Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals.

The Spanish newspaper “Marca” revealed that French midfielder Aurelien Chouamini joined the team’s group training today, 24 hours after he trained alone in the club’s facilities in order to avoid any possible injury, while the only player who trained separately was David Alaba.

In a related context, the Spanish newspaper revealed that Real Madrid fans may witness the return of Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois tomorrow to guard the royal team, after a full 9 months of absence due to a severe injury to his right knee.

She added: “Everything indicates that Andriy Lunin will remain the starter in the decisive confrontation against Bayern Munich, and in the Champions League final (if Real Madrid qualifies), while Courtois and Kepa will share the two halves of the confrontation against Cadiz.”

Courtois was supposed to return to Real Madrid about a month and a half ago, but he suffered another injury during training, as he suffered a tear in the meniscus in his right knee, which forced him to stay away from the field for another 6 weeks.
