Arteta: Excited to untie the knot at Everton Stadium

The Spanish coach, Mikel Arteta, the coach of Arsenal, said that he is seeking to untie the knot at Goodison Park against Everton, this evening, Sunday, in the fifth round of the Premier League matches.

Arteta confirmed before the two teams faced off: “I am really excited about that (untying the knot)… It is clear that our record speaks for itself.. In the past 6 years we have not won at Goodison Park, so we will have to fight for that.”

The former Everton player continued: “We know that we have to be at our best to beat them on their home turf… which is something we have not been able to achieve recently.”

He continued: “It is clear that I am emotionally attached to this club (Everton), the way they treated me, the years I spent there, as well as the wonderful memories I have…so I am always grateful.”

He concluded: “Everton was a very big part of my career as a player, and now as a coach I have to play against them, and obviously I want to beat them.”
