Guardiola praises Onana’s abilities before the Manchester derby

Manchester City will face Manchester United next Sunday in the tenth round of the English Premier League.

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola praised the abilities of Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, explaining that he is a player with special abilities. Onana saved a penalty kick during Manchester United’s match against Copenhagen and helped the Red Devils win the Champions League with an unanswered goal this week.

“I hope we can beat him, but before the match I always predict the best players we will face. I prefer to see what their strengths are more than their weaknesses,” Guardiola said.

Guardiola added in his speech: β€œHe saved a penalty kick in the last minute to help them stay in the race to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League, which is a good boost for them and for him.”

The Spanish coach concluded: “Onana is an exceptional player and is now at Manchester United. Everyone needs time to adapt to Manchester United, not only the coaches but the players and goalkeepers. Everyone. Sometimes people are faster but Onana has a high level.”
