The Premier League agrees to sell Manchester United

An English press report said, today, Tuesday, that the Premier League has approved the deal for Sir Jim Ratcliffe to acquire part of Manchester United’s shares.

Last December, Manchester United announced that it had reached an agreement with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, under which he would acquire 25% of the English club’s shares.

According to the league’s statement: “Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s partial takeover of Manchester United has been approved by the Premier League.”

She added: “The deal will be completed within days when the deal is ratified by the English Football Association.”

Manchester United defeated Aston Villa, two goals to one, in the 24th round of the Premier League.

Manchester United ranks sixth in the Premier League table, with 41 points.
