Arteta: We nullified Newcastle’s ability to create problems

Arsenal coach, Mikel Arteta, expressed his happiness with the great victory over his guest, Newcastle United (4-1), this evening, Saturday, at the Emirates Stadium, in the 26th round of the English Premier League.

Arsenal performed amazingly offensively, putting the loss in the last Champions League match against Porto (0-1) behind it.

Arteta said, during statements to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC): “I am really happy with the performance against Newcastle, which is a good team. The players were good and aggressive, and we deserved to win the match.”

He added: “They (Newcastle) have a lot of potential to create problems, but we continued in the same way, maintained our rhythm, and it was a pleasure to watch the team play (this way).”

He continued: “We are really happy, and we have to continue doing the things we do well. There are still things we can improve, and we are getting the big players back from injury, and this represents a big boost.”

He concluded: “Against Porto, we were normal with the ball, but we were not like that without it. It was a big lesson, and we learn from these moments.”
