Bournemouth coach: We are not safe despite the victory over Burnley

Spanish Andoni Iraola, coach of the Bournemouth team, said that his team is not safe from relegation in the English Football League, despite ending a series of matches without defeat in the competition after beating Burnley 2-0, today, Sunday.

The Bournemouth coach said: “I am satisfied with our current situation. We have an 11-point difference from the relegation positions, and this is important.”

He added: “But we need more wins. We need more points. I feel that Luton are making a good start. They fight in every match and can achieve a good series.”

For his part, Vincent Kompany, coach of Burnley, expressed his dissatisfaction with the level of refereeing, after his player Josh Cullen’s goal in the second half was canceled, after the referee awarded a mistake to the team’s player, Jacob Bron Larsen.

The Belgian coach said: “In matches like these, you can judge the validity of a goal or not, and there is a 50-50 division of opinion regarding the validity of the goal.”

He added: “If you zoom in a little and compare it to the goal we received against Luton, where the player who did not have the ball was obstructed while the player was not trying to reach the ball, this is exactly what happened in today’s case.”
